Edinburgh Art Festival unveils 2008 programme

The 2008 Festival Guide is now available in a gallery near you! We are delighted to announce the 2008 programme has hit the streets. We’re beavering away this week to bring you the whole programme over the website so please bear with us as it will be available online from mid July.

NEW WORK by leading artists featured in high profile exhibitions. Shows include surveys of Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller, Tracey Emin, Andrew Grassie, Richard Hamilton, Alexander Heim, Kay Rosen and Richard Wilson, and new work from Mark Wallinger

NEW TALENT group shows profile a new generation of Edinburgh-based artists

NEW SPACES more galleries than ever participate in the Festival; new Ingleby Gallery, Dovecot space and the Gallery at Eskmills open with their Festival shows

NEW EVENTS StickerCurator and a Festival Scavengers among new additions to the broad-ranging events programme that also includes an expanded ART LATE night on 28 August and more of the popular Artists’ Talks.

This year sees over 50 exhibitions spanning public and private galleries, long-established spaces, new galleries and recently formed groups, and over 120 associated events.
