David Bailey, Jack Nicholson, 1978 © David Bailey
Snap! David Bailey's first controversial exhibition at London's National Portrait Gallery in 1971 was a rip-roaring success. For his recent exhibition Bailey's Stardust at the same venue in 2014, Bailey was awarded a prestigious Lucie award. Anne Braybon, photography historian and former curator at the National Potrait Gallery, London, will show images and film clips from both exhibitions, reveal stories from behind the scenes, and discuss the different curatorial approaches.

Providing fresh perspectives on visual art, Detours are a series of live performances in Edinburgh’s leading galleries by artists from the worlds of music, poetry and theatre.
Phill Jupitus's hugely successful standup tours have included Jedi, Steady, Go and Quadrophobia, and he has worked extensively on radio, variously as a contributor, panellist and presenter. We are very excited to have him part of this year's festival.
Phill will perform extracts of comedy and poetry in the engaging setting of inverleith House.
