Overview
This year Edinburgh Art Festival’s Explorers will run workshops for all ages inspired by our commissions theme of Monuments in Central Library.
All day event suitable for families with children aged 6-12. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
This summer Edinburgh Art Festival in conjunction with the Central Library will be running a series of children and family events, inspired by this year’s commissioned theme of monuments.
This full day workshop will be inspired by and include a visit to Sally Hackett’s `Fountain of Youth’ on display at the Museum of Edinburgh.
Inspired by the artist’s use of ceramics we will use clay to create and construct our own miniature monuments dedicated to our favourite places and people. By piecing them together we will create a miniature Edinburgh full of monuments to the children that inhabit this city.
The workshop will be delivered by Edinburgh Art Festival Outreach Worker Helena Barrett.
Participants should bring a packed lunch.
