The Caravan Gallery in Edinburgh

The Caravan Gallery, Tate Britain, 2007

The Caravan Gallery
The Caravan Gallery is a gallery in a caravan and a visual arts project documenting the ordinary and extraordinary details of life in 21stcentury Britain. Eager to examine clichés and cultural trends, the artists are particularly drawn to absurd anomalies and curious juxtapositions, typical of places in transition and in the process of reinventing themselves. For the Art Festival they will be producing a new body of work exploring Edinburgh and Glasgow as part of an ongoing collaboration with Street Level Photoworks, Glasgow. To celebrate the launch of the Edinburgh Art Festival The Caravan Gallery will be located outside Inspace, Venue 23, from 1pm–5pm on the 5 August.
