Scottish writer and filmmaker Timothy Neat has collaborated with John Berger since 1978. As a 'trailer' to Neat's retrospective exhibition, Stands Scotland Where She Did? (Aberdeen 2013), Summerhall is proud to exhibit photographs, drawings and archive material documenting Berger's seminal contribution to the culture of Scotland. The Neat/Berger film Play Me Something (featuring Tilda Swinton, Hamish Henderson and Liz Lochhead) will be shown. Public seminars, led by Neat and Anne Michaels with an outstanding array of platform of speakers, will explore Berger's contribution to art, politics, literature and philosophy in the 20th century.
