Toulouse-Lautrec and the Art Nouveau PosterWith around 130 prints, this is the largest exhibition of rare lithographic prints to date to explore the history of French posters from the early 19th century Romantic period through to Art Nouveau. Fifteen of the most famous works by Toulouse- Lautrec will be on display, including the large poster La Goulue, which he designed in 1891 for the Moulin Rouge. The exhibition also features works by other leading European poster artists. Drawn primarily from the collection of the Zimmerli Art Museum in New Brunswick the exhibition also includes significant works from the private collection of Edmund Sagot, the ‘Father of Poster Dealers’.
