Warhol in FilmEdinburgh College of Art (eca), in conjunction with The National Galleries of Scotland and The Andy Warhol Museum, is proud to present Warhol in Film a unique series of screenings exploring Warhol’s cinematic work, including unseen documentary footage of his life, presented in two purpose built cinemas set in eca’s historic Sculpture Court. Offering rare glimpses into his art and life, screenings and events will include underground cinema classics by Warhol and sneak previews of Ric Burns’ epic Andy Warhol: A Documentary Film. Alongside work by Taylor Mead and Jonas Mekas sits work from local gallery Embassy and selected work by guest curators, artists and filmmakers.
No More StarsPolarcap in collaboration with Galerie Brigitte Weiss, Zurich presents seventeen artists exhibiting in dual venues Edinburgh College of Art and the newly established out of city venue West barns Studios. This international exhibition features established, emerging and new artists from UK, Switzerland and France. The work features various disciplines including Digital Projection, Painting, Drawing, Animation, Sculpture, Sound and Performance Exhibiting artists include, San Keller, Graeme Todd, Edward Summerton, David Chieppo, Eri Itoi, Liz Adamson, Charles Stiven, Lee T O'Connor, El Frauenfelder, Paul Keir, Alexander Guy, Soland Goose, Tommy Crooks, Michael Windle.
