ART LATE

Family Day

EAF Special Events 2007

The Edinburgh Art Festival Special Events are completely free of charge. To ensure a place we recommend you book in advance at the Information Station at Stills, Venue 32, either in person
or by phoning 00 44 (0) 777 169 3470.

Throughout the Festival our specially commissioned talks and walks explore common themes in the exhibitions but also address the wider context of the city of Edinburgh – its geology, its green spaces, the historic old town and the impressive modernist buildings. Pre-booking for these popular events is a must and we recommend that you wear sensible footwear on walks.

Over the weekend of 10 & 11 August, we are throwing a hoolie* and you are invited. Based on successful nights in London, New York and Amsterdam, on Friday 10 August, Edinburgh’s galleries will open late into the evening. See an exhibition after work without having to sneak out early, or pop in on your way to the theatre.

Enjoy a drink with friends and take part in a range of events featuring guest DJs, cutting-edge music and specially curated art tours. All within easy reach of Edinburgh’s great bars and restaurants. On Saturday 11 August join us for good clean fun at the EAF Family Day.

Just down the hill from the city centre, the world famous Royal Botanic Garden is an oasis of calm and creativity. Lively interactive events offer families the opportunity to explore the exhibition at Inverleith House – introducing you to the rich and varied world of modern and contemporary art.
