Crossflows – Seven International Artists Interpret Japanese Woodblock

Crossflows is an exhibition that brings together seven artists of differing backgrounds, who have studied and experimented over the past two decades with traditional Japanese woodblock techniques both in Japan and outside. Rather than use the age-old disciplines to produce traditional imagery, these artists have incorporated their own personal artistic creativity and cultural origins to produce artwork that can be viewed not only within the boundaries of printwork, but also as contemporary, innovative and conceptually developed statements.

Artists: Moya Bligh (Ireland), Wayne Crothers (Australia) Paul Furneaux (Scotland),
Vimonmarn Khanthachavana (Thailand) Ralph Kiggell (England), Keiko Nakamura (Japan)
Nipan Oranniwesna (Thailand)
