Visit the glossy, comic-strip world of Adventures by internationally acclaimed photographer and filmmaker Tracey Moffatt. Carefully orchestrating retro images and well-worn stereotypes including the poster-boy hero and submissive starlet, Moffatt creates heightened yet darkly ambiguous photographic narratives.

Her elaborately staged universe reformulates stylistic motifs of popular and visual art culture, drawing upon imagery from 1970’s television and comic books together with a dash of 007.
The resulting dream-like narratives play out the complexities surrounding issues such as gender, ethnicity, power and violence.

Alongside Adventures Stills presents Love, a spectacular video work in which the artist has carefully spliced together scenes from her favourite Hollywood melodramas. Cinematic cliché gives way to an ominously sexy feminism with hours of film edited to a succession of passionate embraces, acts of betrayal, frenzied violence and finally revenge.
