Welcome to the fourth annual Edinburgh Art FestivalThe Edinburgh Art Festival once again brings together an extraordinary range of visual arts exhibitions, events and activities. From Scotland’s National Galleries and Museums, to smaller independent spaces and artist-led initiatives, EAF provides a unique platform from which to take in each organisation’s summer show of 2007. With this Guide you can visit the wealth of artistic content that the city has on offer, from the Dean Gallery’s Picasso on Paper and the National Museum of Scotland’s Picasso Fired with Passion, to Edinburgh Printmakers’ exhibition of work by William Kentridge or The Fruitmarket Gallery’s new work by Alex Hartley. Why not try to take in some of the galleries or artists you don’t know – Nathan Coley (shortlisted for the 2007 Turner Prize) at doggerfisher, Martina Klein at sleeper and Michael Craik at Amber Roome? Open 26 July – 2 September 2007Stills EAF is hosting an informal, central information space at Stills with staff on hand to answer queries and give out information. There will be catalogues, images and information about artists, exhibitions and galleries taking part in EAF 2007.
