Edinburgh Art Festival

Concentrating on two paintings, Degas’s L’Absinthe and Lautrec’s A la Mie, Richard Thomson, Watson Gordon Professor of Fine Art, University of Edinburgh, will compare two representations of Parisian lowlife painted fifteen years apart.
