Alexander Heim is a London based German artist. He studied at London’s Chelsea College of Art and Goldsmiths College. Last year he was selected to exhibit in Bloomberg New Contemporaries and in June 2008 exhibited in the ICA’s Nought to Sixty, celebrating the work of sixty emerging artists from across the UK and Ireland.
Heim’s exhibition at doggerfisher is his first solo show in the UK. Drawing together exquisitely crafted works on paper, film, ceramics, photographs and sculpture, he explores the convergences and occasional frictions between the ‘natural world’ and human urban activity.
