In this ongoing research project by Trans Masc Studies, artist Ellis Jackson Kroese traces the histories of masculine-leaning gender diversity in Scotland.
Through weaving together internet-based relics, local collaborations, and the generous contributions of the Scottish trans masculine community, the work questions whose stories are made visible.
Memory Is A Museum begins to imagine what an archive devoted to trans masculine narratives could become. The resulting publications and artefacts are made to be touched, handled, and taken home — visitors become custodians; the museum expands; memory moves, lives, persists.

This is a two-year research project by Trans Masc Studies, commissioned as part of EAF Civic Programme.
